Chrome for A Cause: Google’s Nobel Charity
Every Internet-savvy person is addicted to the tabbed browsing. Do you get any reward to open more and more tabs in a browser while surfing the Web? There is no return even if you open 10,000 tabs in a day in your browser. Now, Google comes up with a noble cause to open tabs in its proprietary Chrome browser.

Google wants to reward the charities on the behalf of Chrome users. The search giant has started an initiative termed as “Chrome for a Cause” that requests to download a Google-made extension for the Chrome browser.
The extension will note down the user’s tab opening activity and donates to any one of the five charities at the end of each day based upon the usage. The selected charity organizations are: Room to Read, Un Techo para mi Pais, Doctors Without Borders, charity: water, and The Nature Conservancy.
Following is the list how much Google is going to donate them
1 tree planned = 10 tabs
1 book published and donated = 10 tabs
1 vaccination treatment provided = 25 tabs
1 square foot of shelter built = 100 tabs
1 person’s clean water for a year = 200 tabs
The Google’s charity initiative will run from December 15, 2010 to December 19, 2010. The search giant is supposed to donate a million dollars on behalf of the Chrome for a Cause extension’s users. We really like the way the Google is donating the funds to the charity organizations on the behalf of its users.
It’s a good chance to donate while we surf by installing the “Chrome for a cause” extension. We would request our readers to install the Chrome browser with this extension and surf the Internet more and more in these five days.
We’ve also installed the Google Chrome browser at our machines with this nice extension in order to contribute for charity funds. We would also like to see more corporate companies to come up with such charity initiatives.
